Description

Servicemen of the 2nd Battalion US Rangers were trained for D-Day on Upton Cliffs near Bude in 1943-44. To mark the 40th anniversary of D-Day, the US veterans were invited back to Bude to attend a reunion with the townsfolk they were billeted with when they were training. In Part 4 S/Sgt Lutz identifies a Ranger killed on D-Day. He talks about the Pointe-du-Hoc operation and women using guns during WWII. Colin Vickery's photos are poured over and Colin remembers the Christmas party.
