Description

Betty Pascoe, née Thomas recalls her time as a teacher at the Penrose Road school. She describes becoming the first biology teacher at the school in 1954 and moving to Gwealhellis School in 1960. Helston County Secondary School was formerly known as Helston Secondary Modern School. In the sixties and early seventies the Penrose Road school was known locally as the ‘Green School’ because of its uniform of dark green and grey.
