Interview with Diana Johnson
Dr Theo Blackmore interviewing Diana Johnson about living with Cerebral Palsy in general and in Cornwall in particular. Diana talks about growing up in the Kent and Greater London areas and attending specials schools for children with Cerebral Palsy and then going to a college for the disabled to qualify as bookkeeper. Diana also talks about working in the South East England and then Cornwall and about her work with PANIC (Proper Access Now In Cornwall), with CLASP (Cornwall Leisure Activities and Sports Players) and organising a sports weekend at Camborne School for disabled clubs from around the country. Interview with Reverend Dom Whitting
Dr Theo Blackmore interviewing Rev. Dom Whitting about living with Cerebral Palsy in general and in Cornwall in particular. Dom talks about his childhood, attending mainstream schools as a statemented child and later attending University in Canterbury and training near Oxford for ministry in the Church of England. Dom also talks about his work and observations as a parish priest in Wadebridge. Interview with Chris Jordan
Dr Theo Blackmore interviewing Chris Jordan about his childhood growing up and attending schools in Redruth, working in under the Youth Opportunity Programme in the 1980s and other government schemes including attending a horticulture course at St Loye's in Exeter and working with Pentreath Industries in Camborne. Chris talks about his role as Treasurer of 'Cornwall People First', the work the charity does to support people with learning disabilities, and his work as a parish councillor. Interview with Richard Pryor
Dr Theo Blackmore interviewing Richard Pryor, a blind retired social worker, about living with disability in general and in Cornwall in particular. Richard talks about his life before and after going totally blind at the age of 28, including his rehabilitation course at Manor House, Torquay, his move into social work, the differences in support for the visually impaired in Cornwall and elsewhere and how this has changed over the years and the setting up of BATS, Blind at Sea.
