Description

Cornish Pilot Gig ‘Treffry’ built in 1838 by the Peters family of St Mawes on which all modern Cornish Pilot Gigs are based, taking part in a race off the coast of Newquay. Crew members were Cox Reg Moss, Stroke (6) Reg Pearce (5) Laurie Carne (4) Richard Clemens (3) Peter Carne (2) Danny Todman (1) Mike Sterne. 'Treffry' won the first race held after World War II.
