Description
A fire at Dowty's Carpet Shop in Market Place off Fore Street, Redruth on 9 October, 1982. It destroyed several buildings including the old Post Office in Alma Place. After several years of lying derelict, restoration work was done to house the Cornwall Centre and create small shops in the former Meat Market.
