Description

Figgy Dowdy's Well on Carn Marth near Redruth. This is also known as Margery Daw's Well and local girls baptised their dolls here on Good Friday. A local rhyme is 'Figgy Dowdy had a well on the top of Carn Marth hill and she locked it night and day lest people should carry the water away'.
