Description

Cornish Pilot Gigs 'Newquay', ‘Bonnet’, ‘Shah’ and 'Dove' in a race at Newquay. All were built by the Peters family of St Mawes respectively in 1812, 1838, 1873 and c1830. ‘Newquay’ is the oldest of the known Cornish Pilot Gigs still rowed today.
