Description
Cornish Pilot Gig 'Sussex' built in 1886 by the Peters family of St Mawes taking part in a sponsored row from Falmouth to Cadgwith. The crew were Cox Ian Armstrong (of Newquay), Janet Zimber (later Cave), Nicola Jose, Fiona Beale, Christine Jane, Oenone Hague, Verity Kemp and Sheila Collins. This was in aid of ‘Birthright’, which collects money for research into deaths of unborn & newly born children. The row took 3 hours and 42 minutes and raised more than £500.
