Description
Cornish Pilot Gigs during the World Pilot Gig Championships held on the Isles of Scilly including ‘Troy’ built in 2003 by Maurice Hunkin of Fowey, 'Kensa' built in 2003 by Peter Martin of Gweek and 'Warrior' built in 2008 by Peter Williams of Bodinnick. In the background are ‘William Peters’ built in 1987 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, named after the renowned Cornish Pilot Gig builder William Peters of St Mawes and 'Taran' built in 1999 also by Peter Martin.
