Description

Cornish Pilot Gigs taking part in a race on the Isles of Scilly. Pictured are ‘Serica’ built in 1967 by Tom Chudleigh of St Mary’s, 'Good Intent' built in 1975 also by Tom Chudleigh, named after a historic Newquay fish cellar, ‘Men-A-Vaur’ built in 1983 by Gerald Pearn of Looe, ‘Nornour’ built in 1971 also by Gerald Pearn and rowed by a Scillonian crew and ‘Active’ built in 1974 another by Tom Chudleigh, rowed by a Newquay crew.
