Description

Cornish Pilot Gigs taking part in the first World Pilot Gig Championships held on the Isles of Scilly. Among those pictured are ‘William Peters’ built in 1987 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, named after the renowned Cornish Pilot Gig builder William Peters of St Mawes, 'Speculation' built in 1987, named after a historic Newquay fish cellar and ‘Serica’ built in 1967 both by Tom Chudleigh of St Mary's.
