Description

Cornish Pilot Gig ‘Queen’ on St Martin’s, Isles of Scilly at the time when R H C Gillis and George Northey of Newquay Rowing Club went to see several boats with a view to purchasing and restoring them. Built in 1903, this was the last built by the Peters family of St Mawes. She eventually fell to pieces at Sunny corner, Malpas and Ralph Bird kept the transom and used it when he built ‘Galatea’
