Description

Three Cornish Pilot Gigs built by the Peters family of St Mawes in Newquay harbour after they had been painted in their new colours. ‘Newquay’ built in 1812, the oldest known Cornish Pilot Gig, 'Dove' built 1820 and ‘Treffry’ built in 1838 on which all modern Cornish Pilot Gigs are based.
