Description

Cornish Pilot Gig ‘Newquay’ built in 1812 by the Peters family of St Mawes, the oldest known Cornish Pilot Gig. This crew won the ‘Silver Gig Trophy’, a model gig with a set of silver oars, which was given to the Newquay Rowing Club in 1922 by a local business man Mr T A Reed. They were J Kennedy, D Todman, M Williams, T Pryor, E Arthur, L Carne and W Trebilcock.
