Cornish Pilot Gigs competing in a race off Newquay including ‘Active’ built in 1974, 'Good Intent' built in 1975, named after a historic Newquay fish cellar, both by Tom Chudleigh of St Mary’s, ‘Dasher’ built in 1989 by Peter Reveley of Padstow, 'Speculation' built in 1987, again by Tom Chudleigh, named after a historic Newquay fish cellar and ‘Newquay’ built in 1812 by the Peters family of St Mawes, the oldest known Cornish Pilot Gig.
