Description

Cornish Pilot Gig ‘Newquay’ built in 1812 by the Peters family of St Mawes, the oldest known Cornish Pilot Gig, rowing out to meet Richard Branson’s ‘Atlantic Challenger II’ which set a new speed record for an Atlantic crossing. The crew from Newquay Rowing Club are Cox George Northey, Anne Trebilcock, Pam Mountford, Annabelle Bennetts, Gareth Horner, Jane Morris and Iain Armstrong.
