Cornish Pilot Gigs lining up for the start of a race at Newquay. Pictured are 'Killigerran' built in 2000 by David and Jim Currah of Looe, 'Taran' built in 1999 by Peter Martin of Gweek, 'Hope' built in 2000 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, named after a historic fish cellar in Newquay, Merthen' built in 1999 also by the Currahs, 'Azook' built in 1999 also by Ralph Bird and 'Samphire' built in 1999 again by David and Jim Currah.
