Cornish Pilot Gigs competing in the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly including 'Blackbird' built in 1996 by Jim and Dave Currah of Looe, 'Ann Glanville' built in 1990 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, named after a lady born in Saltash in 1796 who was self-proclaimed as 'champion rower of the world', 'Currah's Pride' built in 2018 by Dave Currah, 'Bonnet' built in 1830 by the Peters family of St Mawes, 'Brabyn' built in 2010 by Brian Nobbs of Launceston, 'Amazon' built in 2012 again by Dave Currah, 'Black Rock', another of Dave Currah's built in 2010, 'Teylu' built in 2014 also and 'Vigila' built in 2015 both also by Brian Nobbs.
