Cornish Pilot Gigs on the beach at Newquay harbour including ‘Lyonnesse’ built in 1988 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, 'Endeavour' built in 1988 by Tom Dudley and Peter Foard of Mevagissey, 'William Peters' built in 1987, named after the renowned 19th Century boatbuilder from St Mawes, 'Buller' in 1986, 'Rival' built in 1989, all by Ralph Bird, 'Teazer' built in 1988 again by Tom Dudley and Peter Foard, 'Dasher' built in 1989 by Peter Reveley of Padstow and 'Active' built in 1973 by Tom Chudleigh of St Mary's, named after a historic fish cellar in Newquay.
