Description

David George interviews John Lentell during the World Pilot Gig Championships who is one of earliest rowers of Rame Gig Club and an Umpire for CPGA, going around to various regattas. He talks about umpires’ decisions which are sometimes unpopular and Health and Safety considerations. He explains that the older members of the club are now in the Vet and Super Vets category but their club has a young membership who are doing very well. He says that their club is a reincarnation of the old Cawsand Rowing Club and that recently some old photographs have been found and they are trying to find out who the people in the pictures are and eventually they would like to give them to the Islands’ archive.
