Karen says that she is from Falmouth Gig Club and David says ‘Ladies A’ and she replies ‘thirteen times winners’ to which he replies ‘with a gap of three years’ and Ryan introduces himself as from Cadgwith Gig Club who came third this year. David says that this doesn’t sound as good as his Mum! David asks her what if feels like to be back on top to which she replies it was just where she wanted to be. David asks Ryan what it is like to row knowing that his Mum is such a good rower and he laughs and says his crew remind him often! David asks about the social side and asks Karen if she encourages him to which she replies he needs no encouragement. They both feel that the decision to limit the number of Gigs entered in future World Championships is right but Karen foresees difficulties for the Clubs to make decisions about competitors.
