Description

Iron screw packet "Nile" The Nile, a steamer, was bound from Liverpool to Penzance when it struck The Stones reef off Godrevy in stormy weather during the early hours of 30 October 1854. It was carrying passengers and 400 tons of cargo, and sank so quickly that no one on board survived.
