Description

The Lyonesse, a fast packet steamer which crossed regular between Penzance and St Mary's (Scilly) carrying passengers and freight in 1905. Lyonesse ran aground in 1900 on a reef in Scilly, but was pulled clear. Over the years, she assisted several other vessels in difficulties on or near her usual route.
