Description

The Stainburn, a coasting steamer, seen at Newlyn, had been going from Workington to Le Havre. On the way she struck the Runnelstone, began taking on water and immediately turned for the nearest port. She reached Newlyn just in time, with water in her engine deep enough to swamp her boiler fires.
