Description
The coaster Kindrence, a 305 ton coaster regularly carrying coal from Barry to Hayle for its power station, was one of the last large cargo vessels to run aground on Hayle bar. After running aground to the east of the channel in a North-West gale on 7 December, she remained on the sand for more than a week. All crew were unhurt. Seen from her stern with Lelant in the background.
