Description
Ted Gundry in conversation with Spider Daniel who describes how when he left school aged fourteen he sold sand and households to pubs to sprinkle on the floor before the introduction of canvas. He also talks about selling bricks which were used to warm beds and lime wash for the planchen (Cornish dialect for ceiling). He says 'slab' is another word for Cornish range.
