Description

Ted Gundry in conversation with Bernie Skewes who performed a stunt dive from the top of the mast in the Robert Newton film 'Treasure Island'. He also did an exhibition dive with Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan) at the Empire Pool, London in 1933. Bernie lives by the River Tiddy in the Lodge on the Port Elliott estate. He describes how he considers himself an honorary gamekeeper but acknowledges his reputation as a poacher.
