Description

Lloyd Harris shares his happy memories of the PT club at Penrose Road school between 1953 and 1957. He describes missing maths to practice for the end of year gym display. Lloyd also recalls the change from a non-segregated playground to a segregated one and of leading the school on Flora Day. Helston County Secondary School was formerly known as Helston Secondary Modern School. In the sixties and early seventies the Penrose Road school was known locally as the ‘Green School’ because of its uniform of dark green and grey.
