Description

Henri Salmet's Bleriot monoplane in Penzance harbour on 1 April, 1914. Following an earlier crash at Falmouth, Henri Salmet had a floating undercarriage fitted to his monoplane. The French aviator was being sponsored by the Daily Mail newspaper to fly around Britain.
