Description

The 2 Hamlets, Medrose to the East and Penkelly to the West owe their existance to the quarry 'Delabole'. It is only since the coming of the railway in 1893 to the station that the village has taken its name from the Quarry. Axed in 1966 by beaching severing all rail in North Cornwall.. Loading Slates onto the train.
