Ladies race during the World Pilot Gig Championships held on the Isles of Scilly. Among the Cornish Pilot Gigs pictured are ‘Speedwell’ built in 2001, ‘Irene Too’ built in 2004 both by Jim & Dave Currah of Looe, ‘Troy’ built in 2010 by Maurice & Louis Hunkin of Fowey, ‘Messack’ built in 2010 by Andrew Nancarrow of Bissoe, ‘Whitford’' built in 2007 by Brian Pomeroy of Dartmouth, ‘Top Catch’ built in 2007 by John Raymond-Barker of Underfall Yard in Bristol and ‘Essa’ built in 2010 again by Louis & Maurice Hunkin.
