Cornish Pilot Gigs at St Mary’s during the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly including 'Helford' built in 1995 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, ‘Avarack’ built in 2000 by Andrew Nancarrow of Bissoe, 'Minnadhu' built in 1995 by Jim and Dave Currah of Looe, 'Rebel' built in 2008 by Gail McGarva of Lyme Regis, 'Richard Lander' built in 2005 also by Andrew Nancarrow, ‘Fear Not’ built in 1991 again by Ralph Bird, 'Golden Gear' built in 1870 by the Peters family of St Mawes, 'Speedwell' built in 2001 another by David and Jim Currah and ‘Isolde’ built in 2007 by Tom Chudleigh of St Mary’s.
