Cornish Pilot Gigs taking part in the World Gig Championships held on the Isles of Scilly including 'Speculation' built by Tom Chudleigh of St Mary's in 1987, named after a historic Newquay fish cellar and ‘William Peters’ built in 1987 by Ralph Bird of Devoran, named after the renowned Cornish Pilot Gig builder William Peters of St Mawes.
