Billy Stevenson Collection
Bill Stevenson began working as a fisherman when he was 15 in 1943. In one way or another, his whole family have been involved with the industry and W. Stevenson & Sons is today one of the largest suppliers of fish in the South West. Billy has always enjoyed taking photographs, and has documented the life of the port of Newlyn since first picking up a camera. Billy has contributed two of his albums from the late 1970s and early 1980s to the MemoryFish project, covering all aspects of fishing life in the Stevenson fleet.
