National Maritime Museum Cornwall has a large photographic archive. As part of the MemoryFish project NMMC have contributed 123 photos showing fishing in Cornish waters.
These were selected to provide a wide representation of different aspects of the fishing industry from fish processing on board ships, competition fishing for sharks, and of course the fishing boats themselves. Particularly well-represented are the enormous "factory ships" which visited UK waters during the 1970s and 1980s.
